Designed for a client who frequently returns to Hong Kong, this private studio embodies the spirit of a “home away from home”, a serene sanctuary that captures the comfort of domestic living with the polish of a boutique hotel.
The spatial flow was thoughtfully planned to maximise openness, with layers of natural wood veneer contrasted against reflective wallpaper to create subtle depth and light play.
Soft curves throughout lend the space a calm, enveloping quality, while bespoke hardware details, including unique knobs and handles developed in collaboration with Matilda Goad, as well as Corston’s handcrafted switches and door fittings, elevate the design with a sense of craftsmanship and individuality.
From the living pantry to the bed area, every element has been carefully considered to evoke warmth, tactility, and quiet luxury, ensuring that each return to the city feels like coming home.
